External Assessments

The number of external assessments has increased from 2 in 1997 to 49 in 2005.

To ensure a certain prior level of management performance, candidate organisations must comply with minimum requirements. As a result, around 70% of those organisations requesting external assessment achieve some degree of recognition (Silver Q >400 or Gold Q >500 points against the model).

Every year, the Basque Government formally recognises the best Basque Country organisations. EUSKALIT manages the external assessment process conducted on very similar lines to that of the EFQM.

All this is made possible by the time given and effort made, on an altruistic basis, by the members of the Assessors' Club in conducting external assessment.
