Basque Quality Award


This recognition pyramid is the best example of how several hundred organisations from a wide variety of sectors are going up step by step in their management improvement path.

The ISO certification has been traditionally the first step in this recognition scheme as a base for further recognitions using the EFQM Excellence model. More than one hundred have obtained a Commitment to Excellence Diploma after a self-assessment and improvement plan with external verification.

On the other hand, over 80 have been recognised with a Silver Q (400+) or Gold Q - Basque Quality Award (500+) after a rigorous external assessment process, similar to the European Quality Award process.

On the pick of the pyramid 12 organisations recognised as finalists or prize winners in the EQA with recognition both in large companies, SMEs or public sector categories. EUSKALIT encourage the organisations to obtain higher external recognition but with the main target of contributing to their continues improvement and competitiveness.
