About EUSKALIT

The Basque Foundation for Quality (EUSKALIT) is a private, non-for-profit organisation. Our mission is to promote improvement and innovation in management in all areas of society through the culture of Total Quality, with the ultimate objective of contributing to the development, competitiveness and welfare of the Basque Country.

Over the last ten years we have actively diffused and provided training in TQM in industrial and service sector companies, education centres, not-for-profit organisations, consultant firms, public administration and health centres. We also manage, organise and administer the EFQM model based Quality Awards in the Basque Country.

The hallmark of truly excellent organisations is their ability to achieve and maintain outstanding results in all their management areas.

To achieve these results is a difficult task itself. On the other hand, to maintain them in a world of increasing global competition, technological innovation, continuous change in production processes, uncertain economy and social climate and ever-changing customer demands represents an even greater challenge.

EUSKALIT was founded to take up this challenge, to offer Basque Country organisations our help and support in improving their management to reach the standars of 'Excellence'.

Activity

EUSKALIT has four main areas of activity: Spread of the culture of Total Quality, Training, Action Support and External Assessment, working in each of these areas with different types of organisations, industrial and service sector companies, Education Centres, not-for-profit organisations, consultant companies, Public Administration and Health Centres, thus proving that Excellence as a management philosophy covers all those activity sectors where people are the essential factor in meeting organisational goals and satisfying the needs of customers, employees, shareholders and society alike.

Over 3.000 managers and technicians receive training in Total Quality Management methodologies and tools every year in our programes and more than 10.000 asists to our activities to spread the culture of Excellence.

The evolution of our Club of assessors in Excellenece makes clear the degree of Development culture in the Basque Country.
